The Manxman
On the Isle of Man, local fisherman Pete and aspiring lawyer Philip have long been best friends. Pete wants to marry Kate, the landlord of the local inn's daughter, but Kate's father doesn't think he is good enough. When Pete leaves the island to seek enough fortune for her hand in marriage, he entrusts Kate to Philip's care, only for them to start forming an attraction to one another. One of director Alfred Hitchcock's last silent dramas.
