The trial established the “Nuremberg Principles” — the foundation for all subsequent trials for crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. NUREMBERG was shown in Germany in 1948-49, but US officials prevented its release to American theaters, and over the years the original negative was lost or destroyed. Schulberg & Waletzky made a new negative and reconstructed the soundtrack so you can hear the defendants’ and prosecutors’ voices for the first time.
